Sarasota Opera 2018-2019 Season Brochure
I am thrilled to be a part of both the Fall 2018 and Winter 2019 seasons at Sarasota Opera. In the Fall, I will be covering Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia and singing Miss Baggot in The Little Sweep. Rosina has been a thrill to study and I cannot wait to cover my beloved colleague Lisa Chavez. Il barbiere di Siviglia will be directed and conducted by the incomparable team of Stephanie Sundine and Maestro Victor DeRenzi.
I am also especially excited to work with Sarasota Opera's renowned youth opera program on The Little Sweep. There's an old adage in show business that one should never work with children or animals. Yet the opportunity to work with 80-odd young people who are passionate about opera, is one that brings me absolute joy. For The Little Sweep, I will reunite with my fabulous Carmen director (Martha Collins) and work under the baton of Maestro Jesse Martins.
In the Winter 2019 season, I will be singing Second Lady in The Magic Flute. This production marks my second time singing Second Lady, but my first time singing the role in German. I am very pleased to reunite on this production with my wonderful Norma director (Mark Freiman) and Maestro Jesse Martins.
