Mezzo-soprano Nicole Woodward has been hailed for her "rich" and "coruscating" voice. She has apprenticed with several prestigious young artist programs including the Merola Opera Program, Central City Opera, and Sarasota Opera. Recent roles of note include Mercedes (Carmen), Clotilde (Norma), Flora (La Traviata), Baba (The Medium), Kara Sondstrom (Frau Margot), Giulietta (Les contes d'Hoffmann), Secretary (The Consul), and Magali (Salsipuedes). She was a regional finalist for the 2016 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. In addition to her work on the opera stage, Nicole has appeared in concert with San Antonio Symphony, Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, and the North State Symphony. Upcoming roles include Mrs. Baggot (The Little Sweep), Zweite Dame (Die Zauberflöte), and covering Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia). Nicole is a proud alumus of both Florida State University and University of Houston.
